Introduction: My Bible Journey

I have at intervals in my life intended to read the Bible – Old and New Testament. Not for any specific reason or religious purpose but to understand and hopefully enjoy a significant piece of literary history.

The mention of real people and places mixed with mythology and mystery is quite the allure!

Keeping track of the number of people, entities, locations and events that are written in the Bible is a significant task. To help remember and refer back to the above-mentioned things I am also maintaining a tracking document that will be updated as I read.

I intend to document my read-through in this blog. I will document a combination of my own thoughts surrounding the Bible and any research I do that helps me better understand the themes and events. Where possible, I will indicate where I have done research.

I haven’t decided how structured the posts will be. They may be my unadulterated thoughts, or perhaps they will be revised and written with a bit more formality. Whatever happens, this is quite the undertaking and will take some time to complete – I am looking forward to taking the journey!

I am reading the English Standard Version (ESV).
Published by Crossway in Illinois, USA.
This edition printed 2016.
