‘New Moon’ and ‘Full Moon’ are two minimalist acrylic paintings I have recently produced.
These paintings came to life more through accident than intent while I was experimenting with mixing colours for another project. I placed brighter paint on one page and darker colours on the other. In the paintings I saw a landscape at night darker in one due to the new moon and lighter in the other due to the full moon – so I added the moon!
