D&AD, First Stage!

Hey guys, as I said I would upload some D&AD work today in a further stage here it is! This is a very simple base outline that in itself is still incomplete. But i am looking to getting more done tonight and tomorrow it should be finished. Tom out!

Simplistic Photographic Illustration no.3!

Ok this will be the last post I make today... I promise! Went a little crazy today due to completing a few different designs (all based around the same thing) Tested tracing a knife this time round, it has inspired me further to do a little story board with no text all in this style, maybe each frame asa revered... Simplistic Photographic Illustration no.2!

Hey guys... Just finished another experiment to see if it could actually work again. I think it has, although there are some parts I'm a little unsure of, I think I'm going to leave it as it is, I've spent much too long already playing with it to try and make myself satisfied. Thanks go to my sister Molly for being the lovely... Continue Reading →

Experimental Photography/Illustration!

Well, during D&AD work, it came to my attention that my own experiments with photographs and vectors could be more fun (as per normal, and unfortunately). Anyway, I started off by tracing a photo completely true to itself in colour, then by mistake turned part of it black, removed the image and the white background looked really... Continue Reading →

D&AD Advancements!

I'm doing the "METRO" brief, where I have to "put together a transport advertising campaign and strap line that cuts through the visual noise of the daily commute" and...well.. i think this D&AD has been the hardest project I have had to work on. I'm finding it very hard to get myself motivated for the work, and the ideas just don't seem to... Continue Reading →

Cardiff Half Marathon Brief Reflection!

I started this brief with quite high expectations, the main thought I had was “surely it can’t be too hard to design something simple and relevant” how wrong I was, got discovered rather quickly. I struggled with the concept of simplicity, it is amazing how much harder it is to simplify an idea, rather than... Continue Reading →

Ice in London!

Another trip into London with Mr. Reiss Cleal.. oh wait sorry.. another FREEZING COLD, icy, snowy, hail stones, rain and windy day in London with Mr. Reiss Cleal.. that's better. Arrived at Fenchurch street station via the nice comfortable, quick C2C train.. no terrible tube for us today! Took a stroll across Tower Bridge and at this moment the... Continue Reading →

CWDC “Be the Difference” campaign!

The Children's workforce development council (CWDC) has recently launched a new advertising campaign called "Be the Difference" which has attracted my interest. So much so that I actually go out of my way to read them, and find myself looking at every bus shelter advert, just to see if there is a new one... To read the FULL REVIEW please visit... Kinetica Art Fair!

I went with Reiss Cleal to the Kinetica art fair in London today. To read a FULL REVIEW visit my new blog Theoretically Interesting! It was a very interesting experience; plenty of things to look at, interact with and lots of lights plus sounds. Went there with the intention of getting some photography, although came away with...
